Guest Speaker – Colleyville Chief of Police Michael C. Miller

CHIEF MICHAEL C. MILLER has over 33 years of law enforcement experience where he has worked at the city, county, tribal, and federal levels. He was sworn in as the Chief of Police in Colleyville, Texas on May 23, 2018. Prior to joining the Colleyville Police Department, he served for over 5 years as the Assistant Chief of Police of the Coral Gables Police Department in South Florida. 

Chief Miller also previously served in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and as as an FBI detailee to the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs. Prior to joining the FBI, he spent 13 years as a management consulting executive with Accenture (previously Andersen Consulting). Chief Miller began his career as a Deputy Sheriff with the Wise County Sheriff’s Department and also spent 5 years as a reserve police officer in Addison, Texas. 

Chief Miller received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University and received the 2023 Outstanding Alumni Award from A&M’s School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and is currently a graduate student in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Texas Christian University.
