Keep Colleyville Beautiful (http://www.keepcolleyvillebeautiful.com/) is a community based non-profit organization focused on bettering the lives of Colleyville residents. Colleyville’s current recycling program is a reflection of KCB members’ efforts. Additionally, KCB administers Colleyville’s Adopt-A-Street program and participates in the annual Clean Sweep event.
The third annual Pumpkin Mash Dash is presented by Rio Mambo Tex Mex Y Mas. This event includes a timed 5K and 10K and a one-mile fun walk from the Pleasant Run Soccer Complex along the Cotton Belt Trail. The hope is that this event will help raise money for KCB projects, and give residents an opportunity to come together and enjoy Colleyville’s portion of the Cotton Belt Trail. At the event KCB also hopes to educate the public on recycling, litter control, beautification, the environment and health. Strollers and leashed pets are welcome. Please refer to the following link - https://www.playtri.com/pumpkinmashdash/ - to register for the event.
The City of Colleyville is getting in the Arbor Day spirit with fun from 2-6 p.m. at the Pleasant Run Soccer Complex, 6501 Pleasant Run Drive, with games and crafts for children, a birds of prey showcase, the Pumpkin Mash Dash Race, and more.
The Blackland Prairie Raptor Center will bring its hawks, owls, and other raptors. This family-friendly event will have kid’s crafts and children will have the opportunity to get small native plants to take home. The City also has 250 small trees to give away while supplies last. These activities are free.
