The Colleyville Garden Club will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, March 6th at the Colleyville Center. Social time will begin at 9:30 am with refreshments, and the meeting will commence at 10:00 am. The program will be The Varieties and Uses of Japanese Maples in the Garden and Bonsai. Scott Hubble, owner of Metro Metros, will tell us about several distinctive categories of Japanese Maples and the unique characteristics of each, highlighting some of the most unique and popular cultivars with photos. Then he will give an overview of Bonsai techniques and how to grow maples using these techniques.

Scott has been with Metro Maples for 10 years and purchased the farm in January of 2016.  A certifiable Maple Whisperer, his passions in life are Japanese maples, azaleas, bonsai, and golf.  He is a Lifetime Member of the Maple Society, North America Branch.
