The Colleyville Garden Club will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, October 4th at the Colleyville Center. Social time will begin at 9:30 am with refreshments, and the meeting will commence at 10:00 am. The program will be given by Joyce Hammill and Rose Bedwell on an ugly disease that has invaded the roses in our area, Rose Rosette Disease. Joyce and Rose are both Master Gardeners and members of the Colleyville Garden Club.
We’ve heard that “A rose is a rose is a rose”, but a rose with Rose Rosetta Disease is ugly! Rose Rosette Disease has taken its toll on many home and commercial landscapes in our area. At our October 4th meeting, we will learn more about this devastating rose disease.
Our October meeting will also include the only plant swap we’ll have this year. Bring several of your extra favorite plants and take home something new for your landscape or potted plant collection. A gardener can never have too many plants, but we can always try.
