Dr. Larry Darlage

Crown of Life Lutheran School (www.colschool.org), a growing, private Christian school with students preschool-8th grade, today announced that they have hired community leader and college president Dr. Larry Darlage as their new school principal.

Darlage is currently the President of Tarrant County College Northeast Campus and will retire this August. He has stated that this affords him a wonderful opportunity to contribute to his church. COLLS is honored that Darlage will begin leading their school. “We are truly blessed to have Dr. Darlage as our principal! It is a privilege and God’s perfect timing as we prepare for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year. His vast experience and knowledge is key for us as we expand our student body and continue to grow,” said Gail Chmiel, School Board President.

In addition to his new role at COLLS, Darlage serves on the following boards: The Colleyville Area Chamber of Commerce, the HEB Chamber, the Northeast Tarrant Chamber, the Northeast Leadership Forum, the Harris Methodist HEB Hospital, the HEB ISD Education Foundation, the North Texas Consortium of Colleges, the American Cancer Society, and the Northeast Leadership Forum Foundation. He is a past chair and cofounder of the Colleyville Executive Organization and the Heart of North Texas Business Conference Committees. He is active in the Southlake Executive Forum, and the Metroport Rotary Club, where he is past-president.

Crown of Life Lutheran School students test on average, 13-40 months ahead, ranking them in the 92nd percentile nationwide.
