The Colleyville Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the inaugural presentation of the First Responders of Distinction Award. On November 3rd, the Chamber will present one firefighter and one police officer with a First Responder of Distinction Award. The award will commemorate the community’s commitment to our first responders and their dedication to the community they serve. The award will be chosen by a committee who will evaluate candidates based on nominations from the citizens of Colleyville. One honoree each from the Colleyville Police and Fire Departments will be chosen. The honorees from both departments will be awarded at the monthly membership meeting hosted by the Colleyville Area Chamber of Commerce at the Colleyville Center.
“This is a fantastic initiative to connect our citizens and our first responders”, says Connie Hanner, Chamber President. “Our responders protect our lives, our homes and our children. The Chamber wants to honor their service and sacrifice by giving the citizens an opportunity to share their positive stories of our responders acts of service”.
