For the third year in a row, the GCISD Purchasing Department has earned an award from the Texas Association of School Business Officials.

The department won the "Award of Merit for Purchasing and Operations" at the TASBO conference. The honor is given to school districts that are "committed to following professional standards in the acquisition of goods and services."

An official recognition ceremony will take place on March 1st in Austin.
