Deadline to Apply for CWC Youth Programs and Scholarships is Feb. 21, 2020
Colleyville Woman’s Club (CWC) seeks to honor young people for their community volunteer efforts. As a nonprofit service organization, CWC recognizes that it is today’s youth who must become tomorrow’s volunteers and that through volunteer service, one individual can make a difference. This spring will mark the 25th year that the club has recognized area youth for their hands-on volunteer efforts.
Anyone can nominate a child. Nominees between the ages of 5 to 19 may attend any school—public, private or home schooled—and must EITHER reside or attend a school in Bedford, Colleyville, Euless, Grapevine, Haltom City, Hurst, Keller, North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, Southlake or Watauga OR attend BISD, CISD, GCISD, HEB ISD or KISD. Volunteer service is not limited to those areas, however. The awards recognize voluntary, not paid, service. Awards are judged in four age groups and each award may recognize several nominees.
Colleyville Woman’s Club also offers a Spirit of Youth Volunteer Grants program to area seniors based upon a 4 year high school history of volunteer service. Recipients in these programs will be honored at the organization’s Caring With Commitment Celebration in May.
Information about these programs, including nomination and application forms, is available on the Colleyville Woman’s Club website at c-w-c.org/youth.html. For information, contact Paula McCollough and Suzanne Harrington at email@example.com or call 817.358.1805. The deadline for submission for all programs is February 21, 2020.
