Colleyville Woman’s Club Seeks Nominations for Youth Volunteers
Colleyville Woman’s Club (CWC) is seeking nominations of young people for their volunteer efforts in the community. A nonprofit service organization, CWC believes that through volunteer service, one individual can make a difference. As an organization dedicated to helping others, the Colleyville Woman’s Club recognizes that it is today’s youth who must become tomorrow’s volunteers. It is from that concept the CWC Youth Volunteer Service Awards evolved. This coming spring will mark the 20th time that the club has recognized area youth for their hands-on volunteer efforts.
Each year, youth between the ages of 5 to 19 are honored for their contributions. The awards recognize voluntary, not paid, service. Fundraising activities and lobbying efforts, regardless of good intent, are excluded from consideration. Awards are judged in four age groups and each award may recognize several nominees. Nominees may attend any school, public, private or home schooled, and must EITHER reside in Bedford, Colleyville, Euless, Grapevine, Haltom City, Hurst, Keller, North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, Southlake, or Wautaga; OR attend BISD, CISD, GCISD, HEB ISD, or KISD. Volunteer service is not limited to those areas, however. This award service year considers volunteer activities performed between February 1, 2014 and January 31, 2015.
To receive information how you can nominate a deserving child, leave a message on the CWC hot line at 817-358-1805 or visit the CWC website at c-w-c.org and click on the forms tab to find a Youth Award Nomination form. The deadline for submission is February 20, 2015.
