Run for Rescue Colleyville
About
The 9th Annual Run for Rescue will take place on Saturday morning, April 14, 2018. The run starts and ends at First United Methodist Church of Colleyville. The race includes a 5K Run/Walk and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Run for Rescue is a great race for all levels of runners and walkers. We have some very fast runners (very), some great teams, lots of runners who keep their hand in by running regularly, and quite a few people that make this their one race per year. We also have folks that bring their dogs, run with strollers – some of whom are very fast, and others that enjoy a good walk.
After the race join us for a free pancake breakfast along with awards for all age groups, door prizes, and more.
Sponsorships are still available. If you or someone you know is interested in sponsoring our event, contact Dee Dee Stewart at
r4rsponsorcoordinator@gmail.com
or 817-689-7557.
Proceeds support Children Worldwide’s Child Rescue Center (CRC) in Bo, Sierra Leone. The CRC was established in July 2000 during the country’s 10-year civil war has become a nationally-recognized model for bringing up at-risk children to become leaders. Today the CRC provides safety and hope to nearly 400 war-affected children who have been rescued from desperate situations.
