The Colleyville Heritage Panthers (4-4, 2-2 District 7-6A) were defeated by the Southlake-Carroll Dragons (8-0, 4-0 District 7-6A) Friday, Oct. 24 at Mustang-Panther Stadium. By halftime there was a chance that the Panthers were headed in the right direction leading the Dragons 23-21. That all changed in the 2^nd half though when the Dragons scored 21 unanswered points to beat the Panther 42-23. The Panthers next home game will be against the Richland Rebels (3-5, 2-2 District 7-6A) Friday, Nov. 6 at Mustang-Panther Stadium.

The North Texas Mean Green (2-5, 0-3 Conference USA) was defeated in a conference game with the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles (3-4, 1-2 Conference USA) 30-20 at Apogee Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 18. North Texas will travel to Houston to play the Rice Owls next on Oct. 25. The Mean Green next game at Apogee Stadium is homecoming on Nov. 8.

The Colleyville Heritage Panthers (3-3, 1-1 District 7 - 6A) defeated the Haltom Buffalos (0-7, 0-3 District 7 - 6A) in a district game played Friday, Oct. 10 at Mustang-Panther Stadium. The Panthers next game will be against the LD Bell Blue Raiders (0-7, 0-3 District 7 - 6A) Oct. 17 at Pennington Field.

The Grapevine Mustangs (1-5, 1-1 District 6-5A) win their first game of the season 45-0 over the Fort Worth Polytechnic Parrots (1-5, 0-2 District 6-5A). The game was played Oct. 3 at Mustang-Panther Stadium.

Colleyville Panthers (26-9, 6-0 District 7-6A) entered the match ranked No. 11 in the Texas Girls Volleyball Coaches Association poll, and the Southlake-Carroll Dragons (33-2, 5-1 District 7-6A) were No. 2. The Panthers dominated the match 22-25, 27-25, 25-21, 25-17 in the upset of Dragons. The win moves the Panthers into 1st place in the district.
