UNT Mean Green football coach Dan McCarney talked about the difficulty of replacing an entire defensive front during the annual football media day at Apogee Stadium on Monday, Aug. 11. He told the media representatives in attendance that the Mean Green was second in the nation with the number of graduating players only Utah State had more. With less than two weeks remaining before the Mean Green’s season opener against the University of Texas in Austin on Saturday, Aug. 30, the quarterback position still has not be decided. It still appears to be down to last season’s backup Andrew McNulty and transfer student Josh Greer.
